The history of "The Podology“
ประวัติความเป็นมาของโพโดจี
We start our journey in Europe, approximately surround 1630. The 3 occupations of the barber, dentist and podologist were done by people, who have been called “Bader”. They made all this 3 jobs and have been the pioneers of Podology. We know this because some painters, caught scenes of several jobs, by painting the people, what they were doing. So these painted pictures are our historical witness’ about what the "Baders" did in the middle age in Europe.
มีขึ้นในช่วงยุโรปกลางศตวรรษที่ 16 ในปีคริสต์ศักราช 1630 โดยเรียกตัวเองว่า บาเดอร์ แปลว่าช่างทำเล็บและ
ช่างทำฟัน จากภาพสีฝาผนังในยุคนั้นจะเห็นช่างทำฟันและช่างทำเท้ากำลังดูแลลูกค้าในร้านที่มีห้องโถงกว้างๆ
และหลังจากนั้นอีก 100 กว่าปีต่อมาจากการรักษาเท้าและการรักษาฟันได้พัฒนาขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง
ปัจจุบันมี
การศึกษาอย่างแพร่หลายในญี่ปุ่นและเกาหลีใต้ส่วนในประเทศไทยยังไม่มีการศึกษาดังกล่าว
ที่ศูนย์ดูแลสุขภาพเท้าโพโดโลจีเซ็นเตอร์จึงเป็นศูนย์ดูแลสุขภาพเท้าแห่งแรกในประเทศไทยก่อตั้งในปี 2008 จนถึง
ปัจจุบัน
The "Baders room" of the Flamish painter David Tennier (1610 - 1690) is showing the origin of the podologist in the middle ages.
He (the "Bader") did wound treatments, hair cutting, teeth treatments & taking care of problems of feet.
Approximately 170 years later, the modern medicine developed fast and so the dentist was added to the medical occupations. Now the “Barbier or Bader” did only the cutting of the hair. Modern medicine took also care of foot problems.
Approximately at the end of the 19th century, some people started to think about developing a special foot care occupation. This was the time when the modern Podology was born. But actually even 115 years later, we do not have enough podologists to take care peoples feet problems. In Europe, especially in France and Germany, several schools for Podology opened. In Asia there are only a hand full of podologists most of them in Japan and South Korea.
The Podology Centers Bangkok and Chiang Mai are the first Medical Foot Therapy Centers in Thailand. Two branches exist. One in Bangkok which opened in November 2009 and the main branch in Chiang Mai which opened in August 2008.
